This is a wonderful ryokan! We had a massive room with a private toilet and a really cozy atmosphere. The public bath was charming, especially with the tanuki statues. It's just a few minutes' walk to the fish market and beautiful gardens. I loved the freedom of exploring on the free bikes! 🚴♂️

The traditional dinner served in the room featured incredible dishes like crab, grilled fish, and fresh sashimi, making it a highlight of the stay. The public bath experience, with its relaxing atmosphere and charm, added an enjoyable touch to the visit.
The lack of adequate decorations in the room may feel a bit bare compared to pricier options, which can lead to a less immersive experience. Breakfast might not cater to everyone’s palate, leaning heavily towards traditional Japanese fare, and fewer surfaces in the room make unpacking luggage inconvenient.

Couples looking for a unique experience
The location is excellent just steps away from the market where you can grab fresh seafood and the hospitality is top-notch. I really appreciated the staff who took the time to explain the kaiseki meal, it was a culinary delight and felt like a special treat.
It wasn't exactly cheap but still reasonable for what you get.

The spacious room featured traditional tatami flooring and was impeccably clean. Dinner was a true highlight, showcasing award-winning local meats with a selection of crab and grilled fish that left a lasting impression. The location was ideal, situated conveniently near a bustling market and a historic castle. the shared bathroom arrangement could be inconvenient during peak times, and limited decor made the room feel somewhat plain. While the efficiently managed accommodations made for a pleasant stay, I feel the experience could have benefited from a few more personal touches.

Best host ever!
Our stay was epic! The host was super friendly, helping us with our bags and even offered us umbrellas when it rained. The room was spacious and comfy, but the shower pressure could’ve been better. Breakfast was delicious with fresh fish! Just a small thing, the public bath was a bit crowded at times.
